A man and woman were arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Decatur man last Wednesday that was the city's first homicide since December 2014.
Warrants were issued for Christonya Section, 31, and Jacob Marquez Pyne, 23. They were arrested over the weekend, Decatur police Lt. Jennifer Ross said.
Pyne was arrested by the Knoxville Police Department and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation on Saturday at a residence in Knoxville. Section was arrested by the MARTA Police Department on Sunday.
The body of Gerard Foster, 52, was found in a stairwell of an apartment building in the 200 block of Robin Street. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
