Three women who met in jail and allegedly used stolen information to create fake IDs to get credit are back in jail Wednesday.
Vanessa Williams turned in her co-conspirators to Gwinnett County detectives after allegedly taking part in a fake ID and financial crimes ring, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Detective Nermin Cultarevic told Channel 2 Williams explained in detail the scam that put Ericka Williams, Sean Blow and Edrell Smith back behind bars.
They were all living in a Sugarloaf area home and allegedly used IDs bought from prison inmates to create new, fake identities and purchase high-end cars and other items. Some of the fake lines of credit created were used by strippers to buy breast and other implant surgeries, Channel 2 reported.
“How much money we talking about? I estimated and this is a very conservative number of at least 100,000 dollars,” Cultarevic told Channel 2.
