A woman is in jail on a murder charge after a deadly stabbing in northwest Atlanta.

Shaquanta Smith, 26, was arrested Wednesday, Atlanta police Sgt. John Chafee said.

The arrest stems from a stabbing reported about 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20 in the 600 block of Cameron M. Alexander Boulevard.

Officers who responded to the scene found 32-year-old Latrell Blackmon dead, police said.

“The preliminary investigation indicates the victim and suspect were involved in a dispute that led to the victim being stabbed,” Chafee said.
