A man has been arrested in connection with a carjacking outside of the OK Cafe.

Carlos Twine, 18, was charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery for allegedly stealing a couple’s 2016 Mercedes-Benz at gunpoint Monday.

The victim and his girlfriend were leaving the restaurant on West Paces Ferry Road when they were approached by a man wearing gray pants and a gray hoodie, according to the incident report. They told police the man pointed a gun at them and demanded the keys to their car.

The victim told police he threw the man his keys and he and his girlfriend ran away.

According to the report, the victim later told police that his car was enabled with a tracking system. Police used the tracker to locate the car near Saturn Drive and Croft Place in Atlanta.

Officials said in the incident report that when police arrived to the scene they saw “several males walk away from the stolen vehicle and enter two other vehicles.” One of the vehicles was stopped and Twine and one other man were taken into custody.

The other suspects were not located and have not yet been identified.
