A Sandy Springs woman said she didn’t know two masked gunmen had followed her home from a McDonald’s until she turned down the street to her apartment complex.
Officers are searching for the men who the victim said threatened to kill her while stealing her iPhone, clothes, driver’s license, debit card and $500, according to a police report.
“I was so shocked that I just didn’t believe it,” the 22-year-old woman told Channel 2 Action News. The woman asked that her identity be concealed out of concern for her safety.
After the victim left the fast-food restaurant in the 8400 block of Roswell Road about 4:30 a.m. Sept. 16, she said the suspects followed her to her apartment complex, circled around and parked, according to the police report. The victim parked, got out of her car and was approached by the two men while she was on the phone with her boss.
She told police one of the men, who was wearing a white shirt, pointed a gun at her and said: “Give me everything you got.”
“The male told me don’t scream,” the victim told Channel 2, “but that was my first reaction — I screamed.”
She handed over a black Victoria Secret PINK bag containing the aforementioned items, according to the report.
One of the suspects told the woman: “You need to do as I say and you won’t get hurt ... otherwise I’ll kill you right now.” He then instructed the victim to sit in her car for five minutes before getting out, police said.
The victim described the men as being between 18 and 23 years old. They were driving a dark-colored four-door vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sandy Springs police.
