Armed man charged with kicking down door at Forsyth County home, attacking residents

A Dawsonville man is in jail on multiple charges after authorities said he kicked down a door to a house and attacked the people inside.

John Alden Brown, 34, was arrested and charged with home invasion, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection with the domestic incident, according to Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Cpl. Doug Rainwater.

Brown was armed when he went to the north Forsyth home and tried enter it about 5:45 a.m. on June 8. A man and woman were inside at the time, Rainwater said. When the man refused to allow him inside, Brown broke down the back door, Rainwater said.

A fight broke out and Brown struggled with both the man and woman, Rainwater said. He said the three people all knew each other.

Deputies arrived and found Brown was the aggressor in the incident. He was taken into custody and booked into the Forsyth jail.
