‘Armed and dangerous’ man sought in security guard shooting

Gwinnett County police are searching for a man they believe shot a security guard in the leg as he was breaking up a fight.

Enrique Carrera, 27, of Norcross, is wanted on aggravated assault, possession of a firearm and reckless conduct charges after he allegedly shot a security guard about 3 a.m. Nov. 24 at night club Café Area 504 on Indian Trail Road.

Police say the security guard was breaking up a fight Carrera was involved in before the shooting.

Carrera is described as 5-foot-6 with brown eyes, black hair and weighing 250 pounds. He also has multiple tattoos on his arms and knuckles. Police consider him armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gwinnett police at 770-513-5300. Tipsters can also remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting crimestoppersatlanta.org.
