An AMBER Alert has been canceled in South Carolina for a 15-year-old Georgia girl who officials say was abducted by a man in Columbia County.

Calah Noel Waskow was last seen in Evans, near Augusta, and is in extreme danger as her accused abductor is wanted on child molestation charges, according to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.

It was not immediately known why the alert was canceled. Authorities have not cancelled the alert for Georgia.

The alleged abductor, Jason Arlis Johnson, 37, was last seen in a tan 1998 Ford Crown Victoria with a South Carolina license tag, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported. He may have abducted the girl Sunday.

The alert was originally issued Thursday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office at 706-541-2800.
