Cherokee County officials arrested a man accused of dealing drugs to teens and young adults.
Essam Drinkard, 30, is accused of selling drugs in “The Cut,” an area outside of Canton, Channel 2 Action News said.
Officials pulled Drinkard over on a traffic violation.
“We got him on his way to resupply, and that’s why we got such a large amount of drugs,” Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad spokesman Cmdr. Phil Price told the news station.
Authorities found 56 grams of cocaine, 35 grams of heroin, ecstasy, prescription pills and a gun inside the car.
Chris Blackstone told Channel 2 he often saw teens and young adults buying the drugs outside his auto repair shop.
“I noticed it was all teenagers who were pulling up,” he said. “So, I figured the one teens are afraid of is their parents so I went on Facebook and started blasting their pictures on Facebook.”
Drinkard faces multiple drug charges including trafficking cocaine and heroin. He was taken to the Cherokee County jail.
