After an officer-involved shooting outside a Cracker Barrel in Douglasville last month, two suspects face multiple charges, including a count of trafficking methamphetamine, authorities confirmed.

Pedro Santillan, 28, of Las Vegas, and Jose Roberto Martinez, 26, of Los Angeles, were arrested Sept. 17 after Santillan was “accidentally” shot by a Douglasville police officer outside the restaurant on Concourse Parkway, AJC.com previously reported. Santillan was allegedly struggling with a Georgia State Patrol trooper, who had shocked Santillan with a Taser during the incident.

According to arrest warrants obtained by AJC.com on Friday, the two were accused of possessing about 44 pounds of meth that day. On Sept. 27, the duo were charged with misdemeanor obstruction and possession of a firearm during a crime related to the officer-involved shooting.

GSP troopers and Douglas County authorities were trying to arrest Santillan when the struggle broke out, GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles previously said. The GBI was called in to investigate the officer-involved shooting.

At some point, both Santillan and Martinez allegedly reached for their pistols during the incident, according to the warrants. Martinez, who fled the scene, was arrested shortly after the shooting, Miles said.

Santillan was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries before being booked into the Douglas County jail. Both suspects remain in jail without bond, records show.
