Helped by 911 calls from people in the bank, officers captured two Conyers armed robbery suspects after a 13-mile chase over two counties Thursday, police said.

About 4:40 p.m., the suspects, wearing masks and displaying guns, ran into the Wells Fargo branch in the 1200 block of Dogwood Drive, Conyers police spokeswoman Kim Lucas said.

One suspect pointed a handgun at each of the 11 people in the bank and ordered them to the ground, Lucas said. Also, the men threatened to kill the tellers if they did not hand over cash.

Several people called 911 as the robbery was taking place, Lucas said. The suspects drove away in a Toyota Camry, which callers described to police dispatchers.

An officer spotted the suspects on Dogwood Drive before they headed north on Highway 138, Lucas said. By then, other officers and Rockdale County sheriff’s deputies joined the pursuit.

The chase continued into DeKalb County. Another Conyers officer and Rockdale deputies boxed the suspects in on Smoke Creek Parkway.

Marc Anthony Ceasar, 32, of Douglasville, and Marcus Jerome Nolen, 22, of Decatur, are facing charges of armed robbery, 11 counts of aggravated assault, 11 counts of false imprisonment, and obstruction.
