A former extra on “Young and the Restless” was charged with child molestation, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jay Baker confirmed Monday.

Corey Sligh, 29, was arrested in October, Baker said. He was released the same day on a $22,000 bond.

According to a police report, the alleged molestation happened between April and September. Baker said the victim is younger than 10.

The parents reported the incident Sept. 24. No other details were released.

Sligh, a Canton resident, was an extra on the long-running CBS soap opera, according to online entertainment site TMZ. Sligh has also appeared in a short-lived TV show, "All About Lizzie," according to his IMDb page.

Sligh told TMZ he is innocent of the charges.
