An Atlanta woman is accused of leaving her 4-year-old alone at a hotel while she went to work, according to Cobb County police.

Fumiko Paimi Blakely allegedly left the child for at least six hours in a room at a Barrett Parkway hotel, where the child was spotted wandering alone outside, according to an arrest warrant obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“The child was found wandering the hotel grounds asking strangers for food and had been left alone in that condition for a period of at least six hours,” the warrant states.

Hotel workers called police after being unable to find the child’s mother. The child was alone from 2:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 7, the warrant states.

Blakely was arrested Friday morning and charged with contributing to the deprivation of a minor, Cobb County jail records show. She was released the following day after posting $2,500 bond.
