A man whose child was inside in a car that was stolen after he left it running and unattended has been arrested and charged with reckless conduct, Atlanta police said.

A 2 -year-old was left inside a running Honda Civic stopped at James P. Brawley Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on Wednesday night while the father went into a store. Someone then stole the car and drove off.

A short time later, a police officer found the car in a parking lot on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. The child was inside and appeared to be unharmed, police said.
