A 20-year-old Rockdale County man died Wednesday when he turned in front of an oncoming SUV.

Brent Rose, of Conyers, was driving a 2003 Ford Focus in Clarksville, Tenn., when he attempted to make a left turn around 9:45 a.m., The Leaf Chronicle reported on its website. Investigators believe Rose turned into the path of an SUV, causing the SUV to hit his driver-side door, according to the report, which cites the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Rose was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where he died from his injuries. The driver of the SUV was not seriously injured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the wreck.

Alcohol was not involved in the wreck. But the SUV driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the report.
