Cobb police join search for Midtown shooter

Officers in Cobb County are joining the search for a man accused in the Midtown fatal shooting.
Officials said the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Deion Patterson, may have traveled to Cobb, but it’s unclear where exactly he may be. Police presence in the Vinings, Cumberland and Truist Park areas will be heavier than normal as authorities assist in the search for Patterson.
He is considered armed and dangerous and residents should not approach him, but instead immediately call 911, police said. Those who may know him or know of his whereabouts are also advised to call police.
