Another top CNN news personality has a confirmed case of the coronavirus.

Anchor Brooke Baldwin made the announcement on her Instagram page Friday, joining CNN prime-time host Chris Cuomo as the global news network's other high-profile case.

Like Cuomo, Baldwin has experienced fever, chills and shortness of breath.

Baldwin is an Atlanta native and attended The Westminster Schools in Buckhead.

Cuomo's older brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, has been one of the most visible political figures during the pandemic and appeared on his brother's show remotely on Monday.

On Friday, the New York governor said he will use his authority to take ventilators and protective gear from private hospitals and companies that aren’t using them, complaining that states are competing against each other for vital equipment in eBay-like bidding wars.

Also on Friday, the coronavirus outbreak snapped the United States' record-breaking hiring streak of nearly 10 years as employers cut 701,000 jobs because of the pandemic that's all but shut down the nation's economy. The unemployment rate jumped to 4.4% from a 50-year low of 3.5%.

U.S. weekly jobless claims jump to 6.6 million

The Trump administration is also formalizing new guidance to recommend that many Americans wear face coverings in an effort to slow the spread of the new coronavirus.
