Gwinnett fraud detectives are investigating two people who reportedly used a stolen credit card number and a cloned number for another credit card to purchase $4,ooo worth of pre-paid credit cards at the Sam’s Club in Duluth, said Cpl. Jake Smith said Friday.

The same Sam’s membership account, which contained false information was used to purchase $15,000 in pre-paid cards over three months in Georgia and Charlotte and Greenville N.C.

“Detectives believe the original suspects are selling the cards to third parties, who are in turn using the cards for normal purchases at various locations,” Smith said.

Now detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspected fraud purveyors.

Security photos of the suspects from the Duluth scam show one man in a blue long-sleeve shirt and a New York Yankee’s cap. Thewoman suspect is wearing pink pants.
