1 person struck by 2 vehicles in deadly pedestrian accident

Clayton County authorities are on the scene of a deadly pedestrian accident that shut down Ga. 138 for hours Wednesday morning.
The accident happened about 7:15 a.m. at Ga. 138 and Devonshire Drive, which is near Swint Elementary School in Jonesboro, according to Channel 2 Action News. One person was struck by two different vehicles and killed, the television station reported.

“Please avoid [the] area and use alternate routes,” Clayton Sheriff Victor Hill said.

Part of Ga. 138 reopened at 10 a.m., according to Channel 2.
