Police are investigating a double shooting in northwest Atlanta on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the preliminary information, a juvenile and a man were shot at 2591 Etheridge Dr. NW, Atlanta police spokesman Officer Ralph Woolfolk said.

Authorities told Channel 2 Action News that stray bullets hit a 9-year-old and an adult.

Both victims were alert, breathing and conscious, and were taken to a hospital, he said.

They are expected to be all right, according to Channel 2.

Witness Anthony Roman Jr. told Channel 2 that someone trying to break up a fight fired the shots.
