It's a girl for new mom Chelsea Clinton.
The former first daughter tweeted Friday night, "Marc and I are full of love, awe and gratitude as we celebrate the birth of our daughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky."
She and husband Marc Mezvinsky had been tight-lipped about the baby, keeping secret its due date. They also kept the sex of the baby a surprise, even for themselves.
FAREED ZAKARIA, CNN HOST: "Isn't it strange that the doctors around you know, but you don't know?"
CLINTON: "No. … I think the doctors around me know lots of things that I don't know."
Charlotte is the first grandchild for Bill and Hillary Clinton.
FORMER PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON VIA ABC: "I want them to respect everyone they meet. I want them to really love being alive."
When Clinton announced her pregnancy back in April, the pundits wasted no time asking whether Hillary Clinton would reconsider her possible 2016 ambitions now that she was becoming a grandmother. And that prompted an entirely different debate over whether it was sexist to ask in the first place.
As for Chelsea Clinton, she announced back in August she'd be leaving her role as a special correspondent at NBC News but said she'll continue her work with the Clinton Foundation.
