2 Chainz to host shoe release at South DeKalb Mall today
2 Chainz, beloved College Park emcee, restaurateur and occasional ugly sweater designer, now has another notch to add to his belt: shoe designer.
This evening, the Grammy-award winning artist will host a shoe release at the City Gear located in South DeKalb Mall, 2801 Candler Road, Decatur, from 6- 7 p.m. for the first 100 customers, according to an email sent via 2 Chainz listserv.
"I want you to pull up on me tomorrow at South DeKalb Mall for my shoe release. I teamed up with Ewing ... these joints are crazy,” the email reads.
The sneakers, which retail for $140, are the second coming of the classic basketball shoes worn by NBA legend Patrick Ewing. Like the retro kicks from the 1990s, the shoes feature the classic reversible strap that can be worn on the front or the back of the shoe.
