More than 100 Clark Atlanta University students, faculty and administrators have been inducted into Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society, the only national honor society founded on the campus of a historically black college, CAU announced this week. The CAU chapter was originally installed in 1944, and this reactivation represents its first induction since 2001. Mollie B. Brown, national executive secretary-treasurer of Alpha Kappa Mu, attended the induction ceremony last month. Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society is a general scholarship honor society open to junior and senior men and women in all academic areas who meet its membership requirements. Participants must have a 3.3 cumulative grade point average. “The reactivation of Alpha Kappa Mu on our campus is another milestone in the university’s commitment to academic excellence among our students, faculty and staff,” said CAU President Carlton E. Brown, one of the new honorary inductees.
