Canton man, 83, found safe after 24 hours

A missing Cherokee County man was found safe Tuesday afternoon, 24 hours after he was reported missing.
A statewide Mattie’s Call alert was issued earlier Tuesday for help finding Calvin Leroy Ball. Ball, 83, was find in Cleveland, Ga., according to Lt. Jay Baker with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office.
Ball was last seen Monday at 3 p.m. when he left his Univeter Road home in Canton, Baker said. No information was released on what led Ball to White County.
