Find out when Baby Yoda will return

He’s become the center of murals across the country and captured the hearts of “Star Wars” fans across the globe. Now Build-A-Bear is jumping on Baby Yoda, and, on Thursday, the toy store revealed what the plush “The Mandalorian” character will look like.

In January, company CEO Sharon Price John announced the news of the new stuffed character at a conference in Orlando, Florida. The “Star Wars” show, which streams on Disney Plus, debuted in November, and fans have been buying up Baby Yoda action figures and other merchandise ever since.

The company made the announcement via its Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

“The cutest creature in the galaxy is arriving at Build-A-Bear Workshop this spring,” the tweet reads.

“Known as The Child, this lovable alien is sure to bring bountiful hugs for fans who can’t get enough of this mysterious species. This officially-licensed plush is inspired by The Mandalorian,” reads a message on the Build-A-Bear site.

The plans for a Build-A-Bear Baby Yoda have been in place since the first episode, John said during her announcement.

"I'm excited to share we will be one of the first companies to provide the digital and internet phenomenon who is trending higher than all the presidential candidates combined,"John said last month, according to a report by Business Insider. "We now will have The Child, also known as Baby Yoda," John added.

The move to add the more adolescent animated character to Build-A-Bear’s roster is strategic, John said last month. The aim would be drawing the tweens, teens and even adults to shop and build their favorite characters at shops around the country. Traditionally, the mall toy store is geared toward the little ones.

Several adult fans on Twitter proved John’s theory was correct, with many stating their plans to build a Baby Yoda as soon as the opportunity presents.
