U.S. surpasses 350,000 coronavirus deaths

The United States has topped 350,000 coronavirus deaths, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University.

The U.S. reached the milestone early Sunday, according to Johns Hopkins data, and was at 350,214 deaths as of 9 a.m. Sunday.

On New Year’s Day, the nation surpassed 20 million coronavirus cases. The U.S. has recorded 20,430,802 cases as of 9 a.m. Sunday.

India is second globally with 10,323,965 cases, and Brazil is third with 7,716,405.

More than 84,673,000 cases have been reported worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins.

Brazil has recorded more than 195,000 deaths. More than 1.8 million have died worldwide due to the virus.
