Three people were injured early Monday afternoon in what is being described as a targeted shooting outside a Bridgeport, Connecticut, courthouse.

Mayor Joe Ganim’s office said police responded to reports of shots fired about 12:15 p.m.

The three victims all suffered non life-threatening injuries, and the mayor's office said the shooting was not a random act, according to NBC Connecticut.

Monday's shooting follows a violent weekend in the Constitution State city. One person was killed in a double shooting late Sunday afternoon, according to WTNH.
