Two men were arrested after a 4-year-old girl was hit by a stray bullet in DeKalb County on Thursday morning, authorities said.

Tyronn Walker, 24, and Aaron Ramey, 25, are accused of shooting at each other after arguing about 3 a.m. outside the Eastwyck Village apartments on Eastwyck Road in unincorporated Decatur, DeKalb police said. The girl was asleep in an apartment when the gunfire started, and she was hit in the foot.

She was taken to a hospital, where she’s stable but remains in critical condition, police said.

Both suspects face aggravated assault charges. Police previously offered a $5,000 reward for information that led to an arrest and conviction in the case.

Thursday’s shooting was one of two involving stray bullets and children. In southwest Atlanta, an 18-year-old was killed when a stray bullet from a shooting outside her home came through a wall and hit her while she was sleeping.
