A woman was rushed to a hospital Monday morning after she was hit on Ga. 400 in Buckhead.

Atlanta police believe the woman got out of her vehicle and was walking across the northbound lanes when she was hit near Lenox Road. Authorities were called to the scene about 2:30 a.m., police told Channel 2 Action News.

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

An investigation is ongoing, police spokeswoman Marla Rooker said in a statement to the news station.
