Two students were taken to the hospital after a fight at an Atlanta high school that was captured on cellphone video and posted online, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The incident happened Monday at the Carver Early College High School.

“These babies are at (Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at) Egleston waiting on a CT scan because they were kicked in their heads,” a mother of one of the alleged victims told the news station.

The mother said she wants to press charges. She said her daughter, 16, and her daughter’s best friend, 14, were ambushed.

She told Channel 2 she doesn’t know how this was allowed to happen with two resource officers on the high school’s campus.

Atlanta Public Schools sent out a statement to the news station that reads, in part:

“The Atlanta Public Schools Police Department is investigating this matter and will issue charges if warranted. The safety and security of our students is a top priority at APS.”
