UPDATE: Northgate High in Coweta gets ‘all clear’ after bomb threat

UPDATE: Northgate High School has received all-clear from law enforcement. Students and staff are returning to the campus in Newnan.

ORIGINAL STORY: Students and staff have been evacuated from Northgate High School in Newnan following a morning bomb threat, according to authorities.

Coweta County Schools spokesman Dean Jackson said the school received a bomb threat around 10:21 Wednesday morning. School officials followed

protocol and evacuated the school and took the students to a safe place, he said.

Police are on the scene to clear the building, he said. The school is located at 3220 Fischer Road in Newnan.
