Marietta police said they do not suspect foul play in the death of a man whose body was found Friday morning near I-75.

A man collecting aluminum cans found the body of the 23-year-old man shortly before 11 a.m. in a wooded area near the intersection of Blanche Drive and Banberry Road, according to Marietta police spokesman David Baldwin.

Baldwin said that while an autopsy would be necessary to determine how and when the man died, “foul play is not likely.”

The man’s name was being withheld until relatives could be notified.

The man who found the body told Channel 2 Action News that the victim was not dressed for the cold weather and appeared to have been there for several days.
