Two men in unrelated incidents have been convicted of armed robbery in Cobb County, according to District Attorney Vic Reynolds.
Kevin Muckle, 39, of Marietta, was convicted of armed robbery, false imprisonment and second-degree burglary and sentenced to life without parole due to his history of felony convictions.
Muckle robbed the Superior Creek Lodge in Kennesaw Dec. 2, 2012, where he entered the building wearing a mask, holding an axe and demanding money, authorities said.
In an unrelated robbery, Kenneth Andre Eason, 44, of Fayetteville, was convicted for his role in the robbery of a Waffle House in Mableton on Oct. 28, 2012.
Eason could receive life in prison when he appears in court at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 11.
“Armed robberies, such as these two cases, are extremely serious crimes that not only harm individuals, but threaten businesses large and small,” Reynolds said. “We will continue to prosecute these crimes aggressively and seek lengthy prison sentences on the individuals convicted of these offenses.”
