A 13-year-old girl died in a two-car wreck that shut down the westbound lanes of I-20 Sunday afternoon.

A woman in her 30s, who was in the same vehicle as the teen, was flown to Atlanta Medical Center, according to the Douglas County Coroner’s Office. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck happened around 4:30 p.m. on I-20 just west of Ga. 92.

All lanes were still blocked just before 6 p.m., according to the Georgia Department of Transportation’s website.

Motorists heading toward Douglasville are strongly advised to use alternate routes. One possible alternative is Bankhead Highway.
