Four Jefferson suspects have been arrested in Jackson County on felony theft charges after stealing 10 trailers and several all-terrain vehicles, authorities said.

Two women are accused of running a theft ring, which two other people have been tied to, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The suspects face a combined 14 felonies in connection with thefts that took place in Jackson County, Madison County and the City of Jefferson.

Angela Jones, and Harley Jones, both 26, were arrested Thursday and booked into the county’s jail without bond. Both were charged with a count of felony theft by receiving, with Angela Jones facing a second count.

On July 16, Yvonne Massey, 37, was arrested, the release said. She faces five counts of felony theft by taking and one count of possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, the release said. She is being held on a $50,000 bond.

A week later, deputies arrested Heather Karhoff on four counts of felony theft by taking and one count of felony theft by receiving. She is being held on $45,000 bond. Both Karhoff and Massey also face several charges in Madison County.

Deputies have been able to recover four of the trailers, one four-wheeler, a handgun and several tools taken during the thefts, the release said.
