Enjoy Tuesday's springlike weather because it will not last. A strong cold front will bring a return of subfreezing temperatures Wednesday night.
Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said afternoon highs Tuesday should reach the mid-70s, about 12 degrees above normal for the date.
Clouds will be on the increase during the afternoon, and Minton said rain should move into the area after sunset.
There's an 80 percent chance of rain Wednesday, along with strong winds during the afternoon that could gust to 35 mph. Highs Wednesday will be in the low 60s after morning lows in the upper 50s, Minton said.
Thursday will be windy and much colder, with morning lows in the upper 20s and highs only in the low 50s.
Friday should be sunny, with morning lows in the low 30s and afternoon highs in the low 60s.
There's a 30 percent chance of rain Saturday, when lows will be in the mid-40s and highs in the low 60s.
