Three robbery suspects were in custody late Friday night after attempting to flee from police in southeast Atlanta.

Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on two separate vehicles containing suspects believed to be involved in robberies Friday evening in the Ormewood Avenue area, Atlanta police said. But the vehicles continued driving and one crashed into a tree.

"One of the suspects fired shots at officers during a foot pursuit in the woodline," Atlanta police posted on the department's Facebook page.

Two suspects were taken into custody, and a K-9 led officers to the third suspect, according to police. The suspects’ names were not released late Friday.

No injuries were reported.
