A SWAT incident ended after no one was found in a Cobb County home Tuesday evening, police said.

The domestic incident began just after 2 p.m. at a home in the 1000 block of Cumberland Creek Place, near Marietta.

A man was believed to have barricaded himself inside the house after letting several people leave, according to Cobb police.

The woman who called police and five children were removed safely from the house, Officer Alicia Chilton with Cobb police said.

Original reports said SWAT negotiators persuaded the man to release a 9-month-old baby, but police later said the baby was retrieved by an officer.

No shots were fired during the incident and neighbors were kept away from their homes, Channel 2 said.

Police never made contact with the suspect and he is still being sought, Chilton said.
