One person is in critical condition after being rescued from a burning DeKalb County home Saturday afternoon, firefighters said.

Crews were dispatched to the home on Tilson Road near East Lake in unincorporated DeKalb about 2 p.m., DeKalb fire spokesman Capt. Dion Bentley said.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and pulled one person to safety. They were taken to the hospital in critical condition, Bentley said.

No other details have been released and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
