One of the victims in the Orlando nightclub shooting appears to have had ties on and off in the Atlanta area going back nearly a decade.

Shane Evan Tomlinson, 33, is listed among the deceased in the attack on the Pulse nightclub that killed 50 people. An individual of that name and age now lives in Orlando, but previously had addresses in Duluth, Atlanta and Marietta, according to a search of public records.

The records show addresses for Tomlinson here primarily in 2007. Before that, his addresses and voter registration were in North Carolina. A North Carolina TV station, WNCN, reported Monday that Tomlinson had been killed and had previously attended East Carolina University in Greenville.

Tomlinson was lead singer in a six-member Orlando-based band, Frequency Band, which had a set list that spanned everything from old-school R&B to country music. According to the band’s Facebook page, the group was supposed to play a gig Saturday night at another club in the city called Blue Martini Orlando.

Instead, fans have now begun posting “R.I.P Shane” comments although the band has made no formal announcements about his death.
