A motorcyclist was killed in an early morning wreck with a mini-van in Clayton County, according to police.

At around 5 a.m Friday, Clayton County Police responded to the accident at Rex Road and Evans Drive.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital where he died of his injuries. His name is being withheld pending notification of next-to-kin, said Clayton County police spokesman Phong Nguyen.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing, Nguyen said.
