A 71-year-old man died Monday morning in a house fire in Clayton County.

The man, whose identity was not released, was found in a house on North Lake Drive in Jonesboro about 1:30 a.m., Clayton County Fire and Emergency Services Battalion Chief Laura Richardson told AJC.com.

An autopsy is being performed, Richardson said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
