Police gave the all-clear at a Roswell bank Thursday, hours after they discovered that a “suspicious” backpack employees saw a man loading into a deposit box contained personal items.

When some employees of a SunTrust Bank in the 600 block of Holcomb Bridge Road arrived at work about 9 a.m., they say they saw the man placing the backpack, Roswell police confirmed. The man was taken into custody Thursday morning.

On Friday, Roswell police spokeswoman Lisa Holland told AJC.com the suspect remains at the hospital but will face criminal trespass and criminal damage to property charges. The latter charge is pending, depending on the dollar amount of damage done to the bank’s deposit box.
