Gwinnett police have arrested a Dacula man on charges of aggravated assault and felony murder after a woman was found stabbed to death in his home Saturday afternoon.

The woman, 62-year-old Peggie Robinson of Gainesville, had been acting as a “third party intermediary,” dropping off Wolf Griffin’s child at his home on Evergreen Eve Crossing, according to a statement from the Gwinnett County Police Department. After dropping off the child, she was “suddenly attacked for unapparent reasons,” police reported — adding that Robinson and Griffin knew each other, but no motive is known yet.

The child’s grandfather, who lived with Griffin, called 911 and asked police to meet him at Gwinnett police headquarters with officers simultaneously going to the home in the 2900 block of Evergreen Eve Crossing, according to the police statement. There, police found Robinson’s body and Griffin.

Griffin, 35, is being held at the Gwinnett County jail without bond.

The investigation is continuing.
