A Villa Rica man was arrested on three felony charges after throwing a bag of methamphetamine out of his vehicle during a police chase near Powder Springs, authorities said.
Cobb County police attempted to pull over Harold Blythe, 40, for failing to wear his seat belt, but he refused to pull his vehicle over, according to the arrest warrant.
While driving off , he allegedly threw about 57 grams of meth out of his 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck’s window near Millers Creek Drive and Brownsville Road. Police said he also threw a bag containing an unknown item out of the window.
The chase ended when patrol cars were able to pull in front of him, blocking in his vehicle, the warrant said.

Blythe was arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine and tampering with evidence, according to Cobb jail records. He was also charged with driving without a seat belt, abandonment of drugs and fleeing.
Blythe was booked into jail on July 23 without bond, records show. He also has a hold out of Douglas County.
