2 on run after police chase, crash in Brookhaven; 1 in custody

Two alleged car thieves are on the run after a police chase and crash in Brookhaven.
An officer spotted what he believed was a stolen car in the area of Shady Valley Road and Childers Road and pursued it, Brookhaven police spokesman Brandon Gurley said Monday afternoon.
The suspects fled and eventually crashed into a parked car in the parking lot of the Latin American Association building on Buford Highway.

One of the suspects is in custody, but a man and a woman ran from the scene, Gurley said.
Brookhaven police have called off the search, tweeting that they are “no longer believed to be in (the) area.”
Gurley said police found guns in the car.
