A 31-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning while attempting to cross a north Gwinnett County road, police said.

Jonathan Glass was hit about 1:30 a.m. by a passing motorist near the intersection of McGinnis Ferry Road and Northolt Parkway. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene until officers arrived, according to Gwinnett police.

“Though this is an ongoing investigation, speed does not appear to be a factor in this incident,” police spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera said in a news release.

The accident investigation unit is still looking into the deadly crash, she said. Anyone with information should contact Gwinnett police.
