Gwinnett police seek missing 12-year-old girl

Police are looking for a 12-year-old girl reported missing from the Peachtree Corners area.

Kelsie Lee was discovered missing from her home at 8:45 a.m., Monday, Gwinnett County Police said.

“The mother learned from another sibling that Kelsie walked outside to take out the trash and never returned,” Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Ed Ritter said.

Lee is said to have long, curly brownish hair and blue eyes and weighs about 100 pounds and is 5-feet-2-inches tall, police say.

Lee was last seen wearing blue jeans and a long black sweater with a western motif, authorities said.

Gwinnett County Police have set up a command center in the 4500 block of Jones Bridge Circle, Channel 2 Action News is reporting.

Anyone with information on the girl’s location is asked to call the Gwinnett County Police at 770-513-5300 or 9-1-1.
