Police are investigating a single-vehicle wreck that left a driver dead Monday evening in southeast Atlanta.

About 7 p.m., officers were called to the 3600 block of Southside Industrial Parkway after a Chevrolet Suburban struck a tree, Atlanta police said. The driver, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was in the vehicle at the time of the wreck, and no other vehicles were involved, police said. Investigators are working to determine what led to the SUV leaving the road and hitting the tree.
