Brookhaven police have arrested an Atlanta man on burglary charges after finding him hiding under a bed, police said Friday.

Officers found Jeffery Taylor, 21, hiding under a bed at a Brookhaven home Friday morning after responding to a burglary in progress on East Brookhaven Drive.

Police arrived around 4:20 a.m. and found a busted window in the back of the house, police said.

A mother and her two children, ages 6 and 8, were hiding in a closet in a different room and were not hurt.

The investigation is ongoing and Taylor is being held at the Dekalb County Jail.
